Parenting in the Age of Screens - Holiday Forum!
There’s a lot to think about over the holidays when it comes to screentime, with so much down time and so many electronic gifts. Join us for a judgment-free parent conversation to:
  • chat with other parents and hear tips on setting your household up well for new gifts and vacation time
  • give input into what type of support would be helpful for SELS parents in general to promote healthy screen use

Truckee Dance Factory revives its original holiday production, The Twisted Nutcracker: The Tail of the Mouse King, for two nights of bold characters, big laughs, and serious dance magic. First premiered in 2017, this local favorite returns with performers ages 8 through adult, plus special guest artists and alumni.
Expect a high energy retelling of the Nutcracker story from the Mouse King’s perspective, blending hip hop, breaking, contemporary, jazz, ballet, acro, and plenty of holiday sparkle. It’s a fresh, fast paced show that’s fun for longtime Nutcracker fans and first timers alike.

Join the Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus, under the direction of Brittney May, for their heartwarming holiday concert, A Winter Wish. This seasonal program features music that reflects the many wishes we hold during the colder months, wishes for peace, joy, renewal, and togetherness. From timeless carols to contemporary reflections, the chorus invites audiences to pause and share in the spirit of hope that unites us all. Adding to the festive atmosphere, Christmastime Strings and the Truckee Tahoe Youth Chorus will join the performance, bringing warmth, sparkle, and youthful energy to this joyful concert.

In the hush of winter, a wish can be as simple as a moment of peace, a shared smile, or a song that stirs the heart. Through music, A Winter Wish reminds us that even in the quiet and the cold, light, love, and connection are always within reach.

Concerts will be at the Truckee High School on Saturday, Dec 13 at 7:00pm and Sunday, Dec 14 at 3:00pm. General admission tickets are $25 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 – 18 and free for children under age 5. Tickets are on sale now via our website www.truckeechorus.org   Get yours today!
